You don't need to own one the world's most expensive toys to be featured here. This page is dedicated to the average person, who has had Unique Car Audio do some work on their ride.

Congratulations to Jon Rauch from the Arizona Diamondbacks
Your car has been chosen as our New Featured Install.

Unique Car Audio was approached by Jon Rauch, the 6'11" tall pitcher from the Arizona Diamondbacks, to design and fabricate a high-end car audio system for his custom 1966 Chevelle. Jon wanted something that would rock out and be loud enough to hear over the roar of his powerful Chevy big block engine, while taking up a minimal amount of trunk space. Jon handed over the keys to Sean Warn of Unique Car Audio and let him and his team of talented installers go to work on it.

A Clarion CZ509 CD player was chosen to be used as the source unit for the Chevelle. Also custom kick-panels were created out of fiberglass and wrapped in black leather to house the front speakers. In each kick-panel resides a set of 6.5" Focal Polyglass 165 A1 component speakers.

A rear deck was custom fabricated to house another set of 6.5" Focal Access A1 component speakers and was also wrapped in black leather to match the rest of the car. The rear deck also has a concealed vent in the middle of the deck to help allow bass from the subwoofer in the trunk to travel into the car with ease. 

A red-top Optima battery was installed in the trunk and a custom cover was fabricated for it.

A single 13.5" JL Audio TW5 subwoofer was installed in a custom sealed enclosure on the other side of the trunk.

A JL Audio HD 600/4 amp was used to run the Focal components in the front and rear of the car, providing each of the four channels with a healthy 150 watts of power. The other amplifier is a JL Audio HD 750/1, feeding the JL TW5 13.5" subwoofer a powerful 750 watts. The amps were mounted to a custom amplifier rack built on top of the custom air ride suspension system.

When Jon came by to pick up the car and sat in it for the first time since dropping it off, he was very happy with the way everything turned out. He loved still being able to have plenty of trunk space for his baseball gear, and was very pleased on how clean sounding, crisp, and loud the stereo was.  This is one sweet 1966 Chevelle.
